Santa Fe Man arrested by State Police on 78 Counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration, 78 Counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor and 1 Count of Intimidation of a Witness.

(SANTA FE, NM) – New Mexico State Police Criminal Agents arrested Arthur R. Guarriello III, (44) of Santa Fe, this morning on 78 counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration, 78 counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor and one count of intimidation of a witness. The investigation revealed that Guarriello had reportedly been sexually assaulting his two juvenile daughters since 2002, and both had suffered serious physical injuries due to the assaults. Guarriello has custody of the two juvenile daughters as well as one juvenile son, who reside in the residence with him.

Representatives from the state Children, Youth and Families Division worked with State Police Criminal Agents to take the three children into emergency custody over the weekend due to concerns for their safety and well being.

• The charge of Criminal Sexual Contact of a minor is a 3rd degree felony
• The charge of Initimidation of a witness is a 3rd degree felony
