Apache Rescue Team The Apache Rescue Team is a youth oriented SAR Team which focuses on
medical and technical SAR. The team has 10 members who are certified
as Section Chiefs and three dogs that are certified in cadaver. scent,
track and air. The Team is utilized as a resource by the states of Arizona,
New Mexico and the National Park Service. In addition to responding for
Search missions, the Team also provides medical support at 10 outdoor
events in Utah, Colorado, Arizona and California annually. Atalaya Search & Rescue Atalaya SAR is a highly trained team specializing in technical Rescue
and general Search techniques. We have a high level of medical knowledge
and will participate in missions state-wide. Bernalillo County Amateur Radio Service The Bernalillo County ARES/SAR Team provides remote dispatch and other
communications support services to base camp and teams in the field primarily
in the Albuquerque area and statewide when Albuquerque area teams are
dispatched. Base stations are operated by licensed amateur radio volunteers. Bootheel Search & Rescue Bootheel SAR is a team in the Southwest portion of NM specializing in
ground Search and medical assistance to Searches. We currently have 2
paramedics, 2 EMT-I and several EMT-B and First Responders. Horseback
and vehicle Searches are also provided by our team. Cibola Search & Rescue Cibola SAR is a ground pounding team that specializes in hasty Searches,
critical separation area Searches, and litter evacuation. We have a number
of members who are wilderness first responders and/or ICS trained. Civil Air Patrol - New Mexico Wing Civil Air Patrol, USAF Auxiliary, New Mexico Wing supports New Mexico
Department of Public Safety in Search & Rescue and disaster relief
missions with 16 aircraft, 13 vehicles, a mobile operations center, and
more than 200 trained personnel. Dixon Fire Department Dixon Fire Department is available for hasty team operations in Eastern
Rio Arriba and Southern Taos Counties. We have a river raft & rope
gear for SAR operations along the Rio Grande River between the Taos Junction & Otowi
Bridge, and the lower Chama River. Grant County Search & Rescue Grant County SAR covers the southwest corner of New Mexico, including
the Gila Forest and the Burro Mountains. We specialize in tracking teams,
ground teams, ICS teams, horse teams, ELT Search and vehicle Search.
Half of our 64 members will travel anywhere in New Mexico for a Search. K-9 Search & Rescue Team We specialize in air scent and trailing dogs, wilderness medical Rescues
and ELT. Most members are CAP members also. The Team has been involved
in wilderness, water, cadaver, and crime/evidence Searches. Luna County Search & Rescue We are a full service team with horse teams, ground pounders, ATVs,
4 wheel drive teams & an airplane. We also have a fully computerized
command center trailer. McKinley County Search & Rescue We are a volunteer organization, incorporated by the State of New Mexico,
officially recognized by the State of New Mexico Department of Public
Safety, and dedicated to the preservation of life through Search and
education services. We are equipped with 4x4 vehicles, mountain bikes,
snowshoes and cross country skis. We have personnel trained in low angle
Rescues, cave Rescues, wilderness medicine and tracking. We also have
Amateur Radio operators capable of providing communications in remote
areas. We are able to respond within 1 hour to locations in McKinley
County and will respond as quickly as possible to other locations in
New Mexico. Mesilla Valley Search & Rescue Mesilla Valley SAR has one dog team, 3 boats for water Searches, 15
ATV'S, 10 4X4's. The team has responded state wide when we have been
called. North Catron County Search & Rescue We in North Catron County SAR are ground pounders, come with ATVs and
4-wheel vehicles. We arrive, willing to do anything, in a van. Northern Sno-Breakers Search & Rescue Northern Sno-Breakers SAR is composed of snowmobilers, ATV'ers and 4X4's.
All the members are familiar with the northern mountains of New Mexico. Riders of the Rio Grande We are a 24 member horse club that rides for pleasure. We do charitable
events and have been doing mounted Search & Rescue for 3 1/2 years.
Our main activity is riding in parades in Central New Mexico San Juan County Sheriff's Possee The San Juan County Sheriff's Posse was formed in 1954 as the Sheriff's
Reserve. SJCSP has always been involved in Search and Rescue and in addition
have won many awards in the past for parades and other events. The team
had the oldest rodeo in the State which was given up when the National
High School Finals came to Farmington. Sandia Search Dogs Sandia Search Dogs is an Albuquerque area SAR team specializing in use
of Search dogs for State SAR mission. We have air scent, tracking/trailing
and cadaver dogs available. Dog handlers also available as ground Searchers. Santa Fe County Sheriff's Posse We are a charitable nonprofit volunteer Search and Rescue unit incorporated
in 1941. We respond normally within 150 miles of Santa Fe, N. M., but
may respond elsewhere if requested. Our specialty is mounted (horse)
SAR. We can remain overnight and provide some base camp support. We are
equipped with large trucks, trailers, radios and GPS units. Search Dogs Southwest Search Dogs Southwest is a team of canine Search specialists and field
support personnel trained in wilderness, cadaver, water Search and disaster
response. We have members that are tainted in first, CPR and EMT. We
have a FEMA advanced certified disaster K-9 on the team. Several members
are trained in hazmat and WMO response. We also have one equine team
that works with the K-9s. Sierra County Search & Rescue Sierra County SAR is primarily a ground pounder team; however, we also
have horse teams, vehicle Search teams and ATV teams. Taos Search & Rescue Taos SAR is primarily a team of ground pounders but with capability
to effect low to high angle technical Rescues. We also have a small horse
team & bike team. Our primary area of operation is within an 80 mile
radius of Taos which includes high mountains, desert terrain and the
Rio Grande Gorge. United Search & Rescue of Montezuma County Colorado USAR of Montezuma County Colorado is an all volunteer group dedicated
to locating and rescuing missing or overdue persons enjoying the many
outdoor activities available. We use our expertise in Searching using
the procedure required by the Search circumstance. United World College Search & Rescue United World College SAR team is trained and organized through the Wilderness
Department of the United World College. The team consists of between
20 and 30 members, most of whom are international students at this school. |
