The MTD has over 20 active POE stations throughout the state of New Mexico. Among other tasks, both
mechanical and load inspections are performed on commercial vehicles entering the POE stations.

Drug trafficking is a serious crime that effects all states in the union. The MTD has been involved in some of the biggest drug busts in New Mexico's history. Because of it's unique geography and border proximity, the state of New Mexico sees its fair share of crooks attempting to traffick drugs.
