You Don’t Always Hear the Good News, SID Agent in the Right Place

ALBUQUERQUE-This past weekend Department of Public Safety Special Investigations Division Agent David Hoy was the first law enforcement officer to come across a traffic accident at San Francisco and Wyoming in northeast Albuquerque, in fact he was just two cars behind the accident.

DPS Special Investigations Division Agent David Hoy found a motorcyclist on the ground bleeding from the head and mouth and administered first aid.

The accident involved a motorcycle and a car. Agent Hoy found the motorcyclist on the ground bleeding from the head and mouth. While administering basic first aid, Agent Hoy noticed the victim had stopped breathing, it was then he administered CPR and the victim came to. As luck would have it a member of the MedLife crew was also on scene and assisted Agent Hoy with the victim until an ambulance arrived.

Agent Hoy stopped by UNMH later that night to check on the victim where he found him doing fine and on the road to a full recovery.

APD is investigating the accident.
