Rio Arriba County – Late this evening the New Mexico Office of Medical Investigators Office released the identification of the male subject found deceased in the 64 Express Gas Station in yesterday’s shooting in Dulce, NM.

It has been confirmed that the body of Rex Michael Sherwood (48) of Minnesota who was also wanted in last week’s shooting incident near Dulce. The investigation will continue to determine the cause of death.

The New Mexico State Police would like to thank all of the agencies who assisted in the incidents and searches. The collaboration of recourses has once again brought the law enforcement community together and proves our efforts are making a difference in keeping New Mexico safe.
