NMSP Investigate Santa Fe Police Department Officer Involved Shooting

SANTA FE- At approximately 3:19 a.m. on March 4, 2013, a Santa Fe City Police Department Officer was dispatched to a residential alarm call in Santa Fe. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer entered the property. While on the property, the Officer spotted a person in the dwelling with what appeared to be a firearm. Shots were fired at this time. A male subject was immediately treated for injuries at the scene and then transported to Christus St. Vincent’s Hospital.

At this time, not all persons involved in the incident have been interviewed. New Mexico State Police will continue their investigation and provide results to the District Attorney’s Office.
