SANTA FE- A packed house at the Santa Fe Indian School gymnasium looked on as fifty-seven cadets from the Basic Police Officer Training Class received their commission from Judge David Segura of Santa Fe.
The graduates recently completed a twenty-two week training program at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe. The cadets represent twenty five departments from around the state, including Gallup, Los Lunas, Santa Fe and Santa Fe County along with NM Dept. of Game and Fish and multiple other agencies.
Featured speaker, Lt. Kevin Bruno of the New Mexico State Police, reminded both the cadets and their families that now more than ever that they need to be there for each other.
The New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy continues to offer the finest officer training in the state. The next class is set to begin on July 28th.
