Fingerprint Quality Tips

Quality Print
The most important aspect of a seamless and efficient fingerprint based background check is the quality of the fingerprints.
Many applicants rely on private companies, who charge a fee, to fingerprint them. Others rely on local law enforcement or corrections agencies to provide this service.
Regardless of where you get fingerprinted, take a moment to look them over BEFORE you leave the premises. Quality prints have some basic characteristics that even the untrained eye can recognize:
- A square shape
- Rolled from “nail to nail”, filling in the whole block dedicated for that finger
- Rolled to include the area just below the first joint of the finger
- A “detailed” appearance where you can readily see the ridges and features of the print
