Santa Fe – It is with great sadness and sorrow to announce the passing of Motor Transportation Officer Robert Potter (41) of Alamogordo. Officer Potter passed away last night at 9:50 p.m.at Memorial Medical Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack on Wednesday August 15, 2012.

Officer Potter suffered the heart attack following his response to a serious commercial motor vehicle accident and after rendering life saving actions to the occupants.

Officer Potter was a friend to all in MTDP and many throughout DPS and the State of New Mexico. As a proud veteran of the Armed Forces and a seven year veteran of MTDP he will be dearly missed.
